As
a natural corollary to environmental instrumentation, the need
for specialist service providers for monitoring, operating and
maintaining critical environmental infrastructure such as water
supply, sewerage, effluent solid waste management plants etc.
is being increasingly felt. To satisfy this need municipalities,
public bodies and even the private sector are opting to engage
specialist agencies for providing these services.
A
significant advantage is that smaller municipalities and public
utilities financially constrained to purchase required equipment
are now able to avail of such services without incurring heavy
front end investment costs.
