As India becomes extensively urbanised, the standards of solid-waste disposal become more exacting, with enormous and continuous refuse to impacting the urban environment. This prompted us years ago to work on solid waste management mechanisation techniques and equipment, for improved solid waste collection efficiency.

IPWT first introduced the concept of mobile solid waste collection, transportation and disposal equipment. In 1982, IPWT was awarded the prestigious 'National Award for Import Substitution' by the President of India, for introducing mobile garbage compactors in India. Landfill compaction equipment and most recently, hazardous medical waste disinfection equipment have also been introduced in India by us.
